LawMatic Skills is an open library of instructions for AI agents in legal work. Each skill is a SKILL.md file with rules for completing a task: what to ask the client, how to review a document, how to structure the output, and where to stop. Not a one-off chat prompt, but a durable standard the agent applies automatically.
Skills work in Cursor, Claude Code, and other tools that support Agent Skills. In Legalic, the same skills are enabled in the matter cabinet — no manual installation required.
Who it is for
- Lawyers and assistants who use AI for document analysis, drafting positions, and routine procedural scenarios.
- Teams that need shared standards for working with AI — not “everyone writes their own prompt,” but a common, tested playbook.

How to install
Quick install — in your project terminal:
npx skills add lawlabs/lawmatic-skills
From the menu you can select specific skills.
Manual install in Cursor — copy the skill folder from skills/ into your project’s .cursor/skills/ or into ~/.cursor/skills/ for all projects.

In Legalic
Legalic users get skills built in: enable them in settings and they are matched by matter type. No manual setup required.
